Film Premiere 'Project Tuvalu'
The consequences of climate change and rising sea levels are not just concerns for the future. Even now, there are victims. The island group of Tuvalu in the Pacific Ocean is at the forefront, facing the threat of disappearing underwater as the first nation. What impact does this have on the residents of these islands? How are they battling against the water? And what can we learn from their resilience?
Vita Luijten, a third-year student at Breda University of Applied Sciences, traveled to Tuvalu to create a documentary. 'Project Tuvalu' is not only a tragic story but also a message of hope. It is a call to action to address climate change while we still can. This planet belongs to all of us. We must protect it together.
The Watersnoodmuseum is honoured to host the premiere of 'Project Tuvalu'.
