'The World of the Water Builders' Now Open

On Thursday, July 4th, we will officially open a new permanent exhibition in Caisson 3 of the Watersnoodmuseum! Welcome to ‘The World of Water Builders’.
Dykes, dams, and water barriers. Terps, sewers, and bridges. What do all these things have in common? They were once conceived, designed, or built by water engineers.
The Netherlands has a rich history when it comes to water engineering. In ‘The World of the Water Builders’, you'll get to know some of the greatest names in the field. You can also engage in the ‘DeltaDilemma’ game, where you’ll ponder the future of the Netherlands. Should we close off all waterways or leave them open? Should we adapt to the water or move to the sea? And is doing nothing an option as well?
