Schools
The Watersnoodmuseum offers educational programs for various levels of education. These programs align with the core objectives and domains within primary and secondary education. The Watersnood Flood is also part of the Dutch history canon.
Our educational programs introduce students to the museum and the 1953 flood. They also learn about how we need to manage water safely in the Netherlands and around the world. Students explore the museum through guided tours, stories, artifacts, and various interactive methods.
Primary and Secondary Education
Below is an overview of the lessons and guided tours available either in the classroom or at the museum. The suggested grade levels are recommendations, and we can adapt the programs for other groups upon request.
