Museum Murals 2024
In 2024, the Watersnoodmuseum is participating in Museum Murals. This project by the Mauritshuis involves street artists collaborating with 20 museums in the Netherlands. The street artists draw inspiration from the museum collections. The result? Massive murals that bring art to the places where people live, work, and play.
The artist Stefan Thelen will be working for the Watersnoodmuseum. Known also as Super-A, Stefan is active worldwide. Family members of Stefan experienced the flood disaster themselves. Their stories, as well as the future, will be featured in his mural.
Weidezicht
A flat by Beveland Wonen in Goes will be the canvas for Stefan. The side of this flat is 32 meters high. Here, Stefan Thelen will remind us of the stories of the Watersnoodramp and the importance of preventing disasters in the future.
